Blazer Carpet Kits
I would like to install a carpet kit in blazer that is easily removeable. Has anyone done this? I don't want to use snaps like older bed covers. Carpet when wet promotes rust and mildew. During summer months should be no problem, in winter remove and clean often or just leave out. Thinking about installing POR15 and bedliner combo to floors and then hiding with carpet in summer and running without carpet in winter.
Any thoughts? Often someone else has down what I'm thinking about, hate to recreate the wheel.

I have thought along the same lines as you. My thought was to cut the carpet myself to fit, then take it and have the edges hemmed. I would then use velcro , or some other unthought of method to hold down the edges but still be removable.
You need something other than gravity to hold it down with the top off. Everything on my floor flies up at about 45mph and topless. |

velcro
Velcro might be enough. I think I saw a bulk roll of 2" wide stuff at Costco last week.

If your blazer was orginially fitted with carpet. Under the carpet would have been a heavy molded black rubber set of mats that had fins on them to fit into the contour of the bed style floor and make it level. They are pretty thick might try and find a set

Why not just use a sill plates to hold them down. They would only be held down with some screws. Easy enough to pull out. Or do like I do and carry way to much stuff. That hold it down pretty well.
