Wondering what a 1972 came with...
Can someone tell what a typical 1972 Chevy truck with a 350 would have had for emissions.

All the ones I have owned came factory with a y-pipe to a single exhaust with just a muffler. I've seen them with the A.I.R. system but no EGR or catalytic converter on them. It depends on where the truck came from originally to know what emissions equipment it had on it.

I believe the 49 state trucks came with pvc, transmission controlled spark (didn't allow the vacuum advance to work till high gear) and the vapor canister that sucked the fumes out of the tank and burned them. I believe that California trucks also had the air pump.

Mine only came with a PCV valve and the tube from the valve cover to air cleaner.
