Is a "fair" '71 Suburban worth $300.00?
My next-door neighbor has had a 1971 Suburban for sale since last summer. He has had no luck. His price has dropped to the point that he's asking $ 500.00 OBO. I think that if I offered him $ 300.00, he would jump on it.
It is 2wd and moderately rusty along the bottom (surprise, surprise) But the interior is relatively nice and he says it runs-kinda. I was thinking that it might make a decent driver for not much money. And I could park my '72 Cheyenne during bad weather. Also, is there anything special that I should look for? ( I don't know much about the old Burbs) I don't want to just buy something that I have to haul off for junk. Thanks, Terry |

If it didn't run good you could sell it for parts and get your money back, for 300 you almost couldn't go wrong

I might be interested in the sub if it has a tailgate/rear hatch that is in good shape.

I haven't really looked it over very close yet. I was going to wait until the weather warms up a little. He has moved it back behind his barn for the winter. I think it has the "ambulance" style back doors. We're bracing for a major snowstorm today. I'll check on it as soon as I can.
