What came first, the 305 or the 307? V8
This became a very heated topic here at work today and nobody could come up with a proven answer.
Please show me your wisdom. The first 305 i can remember was in a 65 nova but i don't know if it was stock. The first car with a 307 i remember was a 70 chevelle.

wait a minute now. are we talking v8's or v6's. the 305 v6 came first. then the 307 v8, then the 305 v8, which stuck. i know that there is a 302 in there too, just where, i'm not sure

sorry, didn't see that you had already posted the v8 on there. anyhow, i think that the 302 came right before the 307, for only like a year, though

The 307 came out in '68, & was replaced by the 305 in '75. The 302 was '67-'69.
