Seems more like a vintage styled el camino or a cameo. I guess I need to see one up close and personal to decide if I like it or not.

I really don't like them. Kinda fugly to me....but i don't consider it a truck. Defenitly a truck-shaped car.

I think it is a really cool, retro-looking, vehicle whatever it is. I view it as a truck and I bet 90% or more of the folks that buy them won't put anything more than a bag of groceries or golf clubs in the back.

Since it's about the size of an S-10 and has a cover over the bed, it seems more like a roadster than either.Of course that's just my opinion.

I love how everyone is complaining that this thing doesn't have at least 500hp. It's a retractable hard-top roadster pick up, that's why it's expensive! Not to mention, not too long ago, 290 hp was a lot

I think it is a great vehicle. It is a good exercise in design, and I think it will be the same for Chevrolet as the Prowler was for Plymouth/Chrysler. It's a decent powered, extreme styled vehicle for the few who can afford it. And just like the Prowler, bolt a supercharger or nitrous onto it, and you've got your performance too.

I just saw one on the road Saturday, I think it's kinda cool, but way too small for me... and I wouldn't buy one. It looks like it would fit in the bed of my truck

I'm glad Chevy is showing what they can make, like Alvin said, but I don't like the price. JMHO

I think GM as well as other US manufacturers--(is there such a thing left?) are missing the boat big time. If you look at automobile history, the vehicles that made it to big sales and lasted more than 2-3 years are the simple designs. Ie; VW, pre-WW2 Chevys, Model T and A's, early Mustangs, Camaros and Novas, etc.
No silly gadgetry or wierd design that costs too much to build. No elaborate sound systems that you didn't want but have to pay for, no cup holders, weird paint jobs etc,. etc.
If the customer wants this stuff---and some of it, I confess, I do too, then the rodders and aftermarket will take care of that--the manufacturer should build a good, solid, basic machine that performs, handles, stops and has an esthetic shape. As it is, the mfgrs. are building in all this stuff so they can get the cup holder money instead of the aftermarket vendors. I don't NEED or want these people deciding what I should have in a car!
Bring back the 1st gen. SBC Camaro with the necessary updates like airbags, etc. but with improved seats and suspension and they will sell--forget the SSRs!!! AMEN! Thank you, thank you, thank you..........

Smitty62, I think the mfg's are doing just that. Think Taurus, camry, lumina, intrepid, etc...

But even during all the years of the so called basic cars, Ford had the early T-bird, GM had the corvette. They always had some flash or they would be pidgeonholed into the bland moniker. How many people are searching high and wide for a late 50's dodge.

Think Pontiac excitement, not rambler.

As a die hard chevy fan, I really hate to say this, but it does kind of look like a PT pickup. Of course I'm the one that said the new body style of the 1967 chevy I first saw in a founders day parade was ugly and would never catch on, now I have 3 and wish I had 30. Shows what little I knew huh?

I really like them. I remember seeing an article on it a few years ago when it was just a concept car. I remember thinking that if Chevy ever does make it that I would be the first in line to buy one. That was of course before I read the estimated going price for them. That is just plain nuts what they are asking for them but I think I remember seeing that this thing has an engine on steroids in it or something.
I think that I like them alot because I am a huge fan of th 47-53 chevy models which I believe the concept came from.

I think it looks somewhat like an el-camino from the forty's - fifty's. I do like them but, for that price I'd get the SS Silverado. I agree with Smitty62 98%, but instead of airbags......improved kick@$$ a/c with no loss of hp.
