Question Nada Low Retail

IS LOW RETAIL BASED ON A DECENT TRUCK? I HAVE A 70 SWB P/U
STEPSIDE WITH 465,000 MILES AND A 250 I6 W/ 350 TURBO AND
A SHIFT KIT BACK TO 4:10 GEARS. TRUCK NEEDS LOTS OF SHEET
METAL, BUT IS A FUN DAILY DRIVER AND I ONLY WANT A MEASLY
$800.00 DOLLARS. ( NADA SAYS LOW RETAIL AT $5000.00 ??? )

My bank also says 5 grand for low retail. In case you need cash, they will loan you that much in exchange for your title!. That's a major advantage to using a classic as collateral.

I think NADA is way out of touch with reality when it comes to classic values. Just try getting $5K for your truck and you will be laughed out of town. The price of something is only what the market will bear. If a bank is willing to loan 50% percent of a vehicle value, maybe I ought to do that to my C-30, then let them come get it...(if I didn't care about my credit score), I would still be getting double what it could be sold for, Haha.
