Vacuum Advance Stuck?

I took my truck to the dealership to have my new 1406 installed and tuned, and they phoned me too tell me that my vacuum advance was stuck and not working in my hei. im not an ignition whiz, but i think that was a big deal. Am i a gonna notice a big power difference when the truck comes back? and while we r on the subject, how excalty does the vacuum advance work, and what does it do? thanx guys im confused

id like to know as well ... im also curious to know how it affects mpg's ... im sure there someone out there that has figured his mpg's with vacuum advance and without one

Yes,you will notice a difference.Mpg should be better to.The engine vacuum advances your timing as rpm increases.This builds more power and effecency.
