Wanted- Drivers Door for 1955-1959

I am looking for a drivers side door for 1955-1959 trucks, in GOOD Condition. I just bought one off ebay that was represented as "Very Good Condition", and turned out to be thrashed. I am in Phx, AZ

Thanks,
Lee

Sorry to hear that your door was trashed. You should alert the other board members who it was that you bought it from so that they could avoid him/her in the future.

The funny thing is the user had like 250 positive feedbacks. Hopefully the situation will be resolved.

I know how you feel,.....

I bought a door off ebay from a guy in Arizona that described it as no rust, no bondo, original arizona door.

Well, needless to say, when the door arrived, it was a completely different door, and it had 7 holes from aftermarket mirrors, and 9 holes across the bottom where it was pulled and then filled with putty.

On top of that, the bottom hinge pocket had another mounting plate welded or brazed over the old one, which will make it stick out 3/8 of an inch farther than the rocker.

I asked him about this and he said that it was "factory and that I will not find a better door on ebay." (give me a break)

I agreed to allow him some time to make it right, but have yet to hear anything from him,.....Soooo, I will have to file a fraud complaint to get what I paid him for the door, but I will never see the 385 bucks I paid to ship it here.

Do your homework when you buy on ebay, especially when freight shipping is involved.

I know I learned my lesson.

Later, redline_chevy

You know, I need a drivers door for my '55 as well. I'm going to try to look locally before paying shipping. Maybe buy something whole, then part it out, just to get the pieces I need.
