Windshield trim difference

Can someone tell me the difference between the stainless windshield trim on a 67-70, and a 71-72? Replacement sets are sold in this manner, but I don't know why. Is it the gasket that is different, so the trim needs to be different, or is the trim just thinner / thicker, etc? Looking at a couple sets, but don't know what years they are from. Thanks all....

Adam, I don't have a side-by-side pic for you but the 71/72 trim sets deeper into the gasket, so both the trim and gasket have to match. As long as you have a match, you can put earlier trim on a leter truck and vice-versa.

Thanks Jeff....that's what I figured, but just wanted a second opinion. Common sense tells you that if the windshield itself did not change, and the cab around the windshield did not change, that it must be the gasket / trim combo that changed.

I only need the 2 upper corner pieces that connect the top and side / bottom pieces, but nobody seems to have just those 2 pieces they want to get rid of.

Thanks again....
