Going,going Maybe Gone For Good

Decided to try a move to Florida. Plan on going for the month of march, if i like it there going to stay for good. Just tired of Pa weather and 2 x-wives are not to cool either.lol. probally leaving here on feb 28th or 29th. be in the tampa area in a couple days. driving down with new 28' camper towing with a grand cherokee, hope it makes it lol. if not who's on the way to florida that i can stay with in case of problems????

Theres a couple of board members around Jacksonville Fl area. I'm 45 minutes south of Tampa so not much help. WELCOME TO FLORIDA

I'm about an hour east of I-95 in SE VA.

1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs
1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX
1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears
1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

Problem with FL is employment.

You have limited options.

Something in the tourist trade and that can be anything form working in a Marina to working at Disney land.

Retired

In buisness for yourself.

There is not much else. Not any huge cops based there. FL is a Tourist state and that is their whole economy.

Fun to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Personnaly I would look Daytona or Tampa. Mid state but not Orlando so not as much tourist junk.
Miami is pretty weird and housing is a bit more there. It also tends to catch the worst huricaines.

thaks all. i already have a job lined up for whenever i want to start working.. pretty cool.. can't wait to go. at the very least i'll have a month vacation:p ...nothing wrong with that.!!!!!!!!!!
