alternator pulley?

since my stock alternator and pullies use the serp. type belt for my alternator, what can i do about getting a new alternator?

can i take the pulley off the old alt. and put it on a higher amp, vbelt style alternator?

Just pull off your old pulley..It works fine! They are not specifically for Vbelt or Serp. whatever you need is what its made for

My new alternator came with a v-belt pully (single groove), and the one I was replacing had the serpentine style (multiple grooves), I just switched them myself using a bench vise and impact wrench.
