Exclamation High oil pressure ??'s

We have a '95 'burb with 350 V8, 101k miles. Oil pressure has always varied a lot, but it seems to be getting higher. The gauge goes up to 80 psig, and usually the range on the gauge is picked so "normal" is midway. Today, the pressure was staying around 70~75 psig for quite a while. I suspect I need to run some crankcase cleaner through the engine before a "clogged artery" causes "cardiac arrest"! Am I on track? Anyone else experience similar problem?
