Headlamps With Leds

HEADLAMPS WITH LEDS
Gone are the days when headlights were consistently round. Now they are a design element of the vehicle. For instance, the Audi A8 W12 is the first vehicle in the world to benefit from an innovative system that uses white light-emitting diodes in vehicle sidemarkers and daytime-running lights.

The white-light LEDs have the same intensity as xenon lamps but offer greater flexibility for vehicle front-end design. The Audi system, developed by Hella, includes five LEDs per headlamp arranged in a cloverleaf pattern, giving the vehicle an unmistakable appearance and making it more visible in DRL or low-beam modes.

Hella first presented a prototype of the LED system in its booth at the 2003 International Auto Show in Frankfurt, Germany, and expects that LEDs will be widely used in low beam, main beam and fog lamps by 2010 because of their increased design flexibility and safety benefits.
Soon we'll be all LED lighting.

They currently do not offer the conversions for our size headlights yet but are sxpected to in the future.
