ohhh geez ill take a whack at it i guess, anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong
1. remove all the phillips screws on the outside edge of the panel 2. the wiper nob has a tiny set screw in the side of the nob, loosen it off and pull. 3. the headlight nob is removed by reaching up behind the dash and pushing the spring loaded button, while pushing pull the nob and shaft out. 4. hmmm whats next, i guess you could spin off the round things under the wiper and headlight knobs 5. then i guess disconnect the speedo, other gauge wiring, oil pressure line 6. drop colom and it should come out... what am i forgetting? its a lot easier to remember as your doing this

If you have gauges instead of lights.....don't forget to disconnect the oil line and such...
Pull straight out on the unit when ready to disconnect.........some times they bind and you thing you forgot something.

On morst models with no tach, you don't need to drop the column. It'll bind a little, but it will come out.
A reminder, disconnect your battery since your parkign lights will be on with the knob removed,a dn also, if you have the acc guages, do not fire up the engine since it'll spray you with oil...and if you forget, then we want pictures of the mess. |

Mr. Obvious says----this may be a long shot but if your cluster has a tach, vac, or air pressure gauge, you got to disconnect them as well. You may also have a grounding wire to the dash frame so go slow and careful----

Forgot one.......if you don't disconnect the battery...........
when you pull the headlight knob out, you could turn it just a little. in turn leaving enough drain on the battery to drop dead..... Been there, done that, moved on........
