I am extremely pissed at him too.

What would I have given to be 18 ?? and have what he is getting ready to have. Of course having great parents to help is a plus. A Dad to get into this stuff with you is the best thing in the world for a young guy. Something I wasn't lucky enough to have. There was a man who was suppossed to be the one who got my mother pregnant with me, but this isn't the same as being a Dad.

Eric,

it sounds like you have some fantastic parents. I only hope, and I do believe, you are close to being as good of a son to them. You have the kind of relationship going most of us only dream of. As least I dreamed about it when I was young.

Good luck on everything. Take your time and do it right, and do it once. Don't rush anything and make some stupid mistake.

Ahh to be young, unmarried, and living at home again- Man what my truck would be looking like now

You need to prime it right before you install the motor in the truck. This is assuming you're going to start the engine within a reasonable amount of time (within a couple days I would think). It's easier to prime it then than later when the firewall gets in the way.

So you're installing the engine before you get the carb and stuff? If so then I would prime it to make sure of oil passages clear before installing in the truck. Then if it's been some time reprime it. Shouldn't hurt anything to do this again. Also read this article to help you double and triple check everything you are doing http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/driv.../newengine.htm
