Angry help

I finally finished putting my truck together yesterday(rebuilt tranny, overhauled transfer case, new clutch assembly, resurfaced fly wheel, new ring gear, and a new starter)
-it wouldn't start-
now i have to take the starter off(i broke a stud on the solenoid). the slave cylinder is in the way. can i pull it without disconnecting the clutch line?
What do I do to fix this problem. The clutch must be depressed to start. Could air in the hydraulic system keep it from startiong? anything else? please help-I need my truck
