6 cylinder power steering?

I have a 71 C10 that is a 6 cylinder with arm strong steering!

What year power steering boxes will fit my 71?

Also can I get a sway bar from a 7? something truck for my truck?

Thanks

Sam

Power steering boxes and sway bars from trucks all the way up to 87 and Suburbans through 91 will fit.

See the FAQ section for a big article with lots of pictures I did about a sway bar install off of a later truck.

Yes you could get AC on a six, I have a 72 250 that I discovered that the HEI interferes with the brackets so either they used different ac brackets in 72 or ac wasnt available that year.

Gee Emm, they didn't have HEI in 72. That's the issue, not brackets or availability of AC.

There are 2 styles (?) of HEI distributors. The early HEI has an external coil, the later ones have the coil in the cap. I have a A/C bracket from a 75 Nova with a 250, and it had an HEI with the external coil, which I also have as a spare. The first year for HEI was 75, and the 75-76 HEI had the external coil. Hope that helps.
