ATTN: Inline Tube Venders. WTB SS Brake Line Set.
edit: VENDORS
I'm ready to buy a Stainless Steel Brake Line kit for my '67 SWB. The front has been converted to disc. I would like to keep the lines behind the crossmember like stock if possible. I'm not sure what all is included in the kit, but I need the front Tee, back Tee with rubber hose. Basically everything execpt the front caliper hoses, and prop valve. Please reply or PM me a Price with shipping to 89014. Thanks, Jay Last edited by Chevy4Life; 02-15-2004 at 01:21 AM. |

I just spent about $400 with them. I would just call them, they are very helpful. The website has the number. Also tell them about the conversion your doing and they will sell you a custom set tailored for your needs. http://www.inlinetube.com/

Chevy4Life, Sent you a PM. I have used both before I picked one to become a dealer for and well I went with Inline tube. They do stand behind their product the problem so many people has is they get mixed up when ordering them on what they are wanting to do. But as far as Quality they are no comparision as far as being factory correct. As far as bending your on that part is fine but you will never get a quality flare as the do flaring them with a press.

I'd match my double flare to anybodys for quality on our customers trucks. There is nothing wrong with using Inline or Finelines like you say if ordered correctly, and usually it's the customer not telling them its a 67 with 72 disc brakes or a 68 with 71 rearend or lowered, bagged etc.

I went with Inline when I did my 91' and I will use them again on my 71'. It cost me $330.00 shipped. I ordered the prebent stainless lines WITH stainless fittings(they come std. with the OE plated fittings, must specify stainless fittings if you want them, cost about $30 more). I also ordered the braided stainless flex lines with it. Their customer service was excellent and I had my lines within' a few days. I had no problem with the kit as far as installation or quality. The only thing I wish they had of done was to mark what lines went where as it was fun figuring out all of the ABS lines!
Tim, do you discount their kits? Thanks! Joe

Man, you guys hit this subject in a timely manner! This is one of the things that I've been researching in trying to decide on what course to go.
It doesn't all come down to price... but that's a pretty good part of it. Mothertruckers, you hit my combo - nail on the head - '67 w/72 front dics. But, I'm also in need of info on fuel lines - for putting a spare-tire-position mounted fuel tank, as well. Oh, and I also want it all out of stainless steel. I'm getting sooooo stoked.

I think Tim has the tank kit for under the bed, get it with 72 BB 3/8" fuel line sending unit and a 20ft coil of braided stainless fuel line with AN fittings and frame clamps.
