C-20 to C-10 Conversion

I ust got ahold of a complete front and rear end off of a 1972 c-10.
it has drop spindles, shocks, blah blah. Would it be easier to take the entire frount end off of my truck or just the parts that are different. on the truck i took the stuff from i had to cut the bolts that held it on to the frame cause they wouldn't turn.
i could do that cause there was no engine, i dont want to have to do that to mine.
Im changing it over cause i get the c-10 ring and pinion so that i get better highway miles...and i get 6 lug and might be able to get some 20's (if i find some $$$). Also the new ratio will help my speedo cause it is off cause of my smaller but wider tires.
if anyone has some advise id apperciate it..remember im in college and got no $$$.

thanks,
Michael

Are you sure you got 6 lug with a 72 half ton? Better check, I'll bet they are 5 lug with disc brakes. I wouldn't put drums on the front of your 72 you will be disapointed. If you take off the upper and lower control arms you shoudn't need to torch them off, if you can't turn the nuts (should be all nuts to take off and no bolts if I remember exept sway bar) you can crack the nuts with a nut cracker or a chisel. Good luck. the bolts for the upper control arms will stay on the frame.
