Split bench seat out of a 70

I have one and was wondering how much to get it redone would be fair a local upholster wanted 175 and materials he said the material ie foam and factory style covers could be as much as 500 I wanted to get some input as this seemed a bit high to me any asst would be appreciated mike

On the bench seats we pay $200 to our local upholsterer for replacement covers installed. The complete job includes covers made to match the truck patterns in vinyl, minor additions of foam, (the driver's side usually needs a little buildup), removal of the old cover, and installation of the new cover.

We have had him do Jeep seats and the material costs have been significantly more so material can be a huge difference.
