The truck will be a daily driver and painted the stock colors .

Also some of the trucks I see that have been repainted the white looks Super white is that a different color than stock my white looks a little dull or is that just age?

Dupont makes a more affordable line of paints which are very similiar to their premier line. It's called Nason and is sold at most O'Reilly's. It is usually best to stick with one paint manufacturer throughout the whole process, I like to use Nason undercoats (epoxy primer, primer/surfacer, sealer) and Dupont color and clear.

I do agree with sixnine that Nason is a good paint. I have used it and I liked it. That what I will paint my truck with. But you might want to check with whoever is going to paint your truck and find out what they are comfortable painting with.

Anyone know the advantages and disadvantages of a single stage vs. base coat clear coat? When you paint bc/cc, does the bc go on line the old laquer with not much shine? Can u color sand the base before the clear is applied? Thanks

I've been using Martin Senour crossfire paint. You can get it at most NAPA stores. My local Dupont store quoted $192gal. vs $69gal for the crossfire for the same color. I figured I could screw it up 2 times and still be $ ahead.I put it on my 80 C-30 flatbed in Oct. and am happy with the results. I think it might be Sherwin-Williams paint because their website are almost the same. Good luck!!
