Question AutoCAD drawings of our trucks ??!!

Hi there I’m trying to find AutoCAD drawings of our trucks, can anyone tell me if there are any available so I can make 3D models.
I know AutoCAD has a 1957 Chevy bel-air 3D model that looks cool.

Thanks in advance

Edmond,
I would love to have a copy of whatever you might have. Let me know when you find it and I will send my e-mail or other method to transfer the file(s).
Thanks!

I was able to open up the drawing. That is pretty cool, but to make a 3-D model such as the 57 Chevy BelAir of one of our trucks, it would be very involved and take a hell of a long time to do it. I had been working in an aerospace business and some of my job was to create 3-D models of the fan blades for jet engines that we machined using a combination of AutoCAD 2002 & AutoCAD 2004. Those were small parts and I did have the machine & casting drawings and even at that it took a week or better for a single 3-D model of a part.
Heck, If you have the time to put into it, a 3-D model would be very cool.

Man, I work for Autodesk, the makers of AutoCAD, and I have yet to find a 3D drawing of our trucks. And yes, I am very good with AutoCAD, I just don't have the time to sit down and draw one up for all of us. Personally, I work on computers all day, the last thing I want to do when I get home it work on my home computer. Much more rewarding to work in the garage on the truck!!!

I don't mind 70ChevyLongbed.
It has been covered before on the board in the past, with the same drawing.

Glad I could help.

I don't know how it's done with AutoCad, I use IMSI's TurboCAD and all I have to do is a "Save As" and it gives like 20 different file types. We use it so that we can receive AutoCad files from engineers, architects, and surveyors. I wish I had the chance to learn AutoCad, or even learn TurboCad to it's full extent... maybe later...

Hope this works. It's not the best but for being 16 and only drawing for about a year it's an attempt. it's still missing the interior and the rear fender cut out.

Bill,

You can pick up TurboCAD from $99 for the Deluxe and $579 for the Professional.

There are also tons of shareware and freeware found at places like CNET's Download.com, just be careful of adware & spyware when downloading anything free.
