Here is where I'm at now. I started it for the first time last Saturday. I'm getting closer.

Awesome Dean.
A few questions. Why no air? And could you tell me more about the [Four Wheel Drive] fender emblem. What years and which models had that emblem? Is it in place of the engine emblem?

I think that the 4 wheel drive emblem is a 69-70 deal, and the motor size emblem took its place in 71-72

If you ever want to sell that thing PM me. That has to be the most beautiful piece of work I have seen in a long time. The color is perfect.

Thanks for all the comments. It has been a lot of work & $$.

Yes, it is a Cheyenne. I add the four wheel drive emblems because I like them. I know they aren't original to the K20. They are GM emblems though.

This truck originally had a/c with the old body. The rust free body that I swapped over did not. I had everything including the dash to switch it over, but I have never been to impressed with the original A/C. I may eventually put aftermarket air on this one. The blue truck has original A/C that still works, but I hardly ever use it.

I did put the rest of the options back in the truck.

Options on this truck are:

Tilt, tach, Cheyenne package, 4.56 gears, rear locker, front positraction, tow hooks, buckets, pb, ps, automatic (TH350), 350 engine, AM-FM, tinted glass....etc

I put my usual 4" Skyjacker Softride suspension on it with no blocks and it will have 35" BFG tires.

What wheels and tires are you going with?

I'm going with the turbine wheels and 35" BFG All Terrains.

I have a blue one too! Looks like a good project! I can't wait to see the painted pics.

Wheels i'm using are Westerns like these on my very first K20 way back in 1984. I should have them on this weekend as soon as I bleed the brakes and install the inner fenders.
