a/c remounting?

is there any way to run the a/c lines differently then right over the front of the engine? i've seen pictures of people having them ran on top of the radiator.

where could i get new lines to run it like that?

I would look in the yellow pages for a hose specialty shop or auto air conditioning shop who can fabricate you some new hoses and fittings that will work for you. It would have to be custom cut and fabricated, nothing off the shelf in this case.

I saw in the new Summit catalog that they sell A/c line parts, with braided stainless hoses in them. I think that would look pretty trick, IMHO.

The early 80s trucks used hoses that ran one across the radiator. Look at the pics on Gchemist's site.

You should be able to get them at any auto parts store that sells A/C parts.

Companies such as vintage air also sell hose kits which allow you to make you're own. Cut and mark the hoses/ends and then take them to a parts house to be crimped.

See, if you ditch the AC you won't have to worry about it.
