driveshaft? and progress update
where can i get a driveshaft balanced, i am going to need this done soon and have no idea where to do it at.
i am pumped i dont have to work at all on Friday or Saturday and so i hope to have the truck driving by late saturday afternoon. I know have the new cab mounts in it as my old cab mount bolts where bent, i have to put the trans and driveshaft in and then go around and do all 4 brakes and she should be done, i am ready for this.

and my dad bought me this for 150bucks out of a local salvage yard, it has everything i need to make it work minus hoses as they where rotted but i am going to clean it up and it will be a while before i install it, it came out of a 70 chevy truck.

Any local shop that works on driveshafts should be able to balance it. Definitely worth doing.

Pop open the phone book and look for places that work on big truck suspensions, or build drivelines for custom applications or boats.
Any of those places will have the equipment to balance your driveshaft. Don't just go to any machine shop... Another thing you can do is look for your local hotrod custom shop. They'll probably know where to go...

I looked in the yellow pages under "Driveshafts" and found a shop in my area....i live in the middle of nowhere so i would imagine your are proably has one.

I have used Fort Worth Gear & Axle 3409 Kelli Court Fort Worth, TX 76106 817-625-8878 They shortened my two piece, replaced all U-joints and carrier bearing. Very pleased with their work. It's off I-35 N and Long Avenue, back ont he west side. Good Luck!

from what you 2 say sounds like going out there might be worth the drive to get it done i will check around here though
