Air Bag port size?

What size port should be used on a 67 shortbed 3/8 or 1/2 inch Don't want to hop just want to raise and lower it.

Thanks

Pete

3/8 should be fine if ya don't want to get to crazy. But if 1/2 is the same price go with 1/2"

Half comment, half question

wouldn't the .5" port cause the truck to react faster to inputs of controls?! The bigger the port, the more volume of air, the quicker the truck raises and lowers.

Personally I would go with the smaller one, I'm not in to hopping, but being able to get just the right ride height would put a big on my face.

you might consider going 1/2" on your intake valves and 3/8" on your dump valves. that way you could get up fast but wouldnt tear anything up on the way down..or should i say that you would have better control over it on the way down.

I agree. The weight of the truck is going to slow the lift down compared to a newer/lighter vehicle.
