Power steering problems
I recently bought someones project truck, a 1978 silverado shortbed converted to a 3/4 ton 4x4 the problem I am havin is to do w/ the power steering previous owner cut the lines so i had to put new hoses on the steel lines, and everytime I tightin down the hose clamps and test it out if i turn it full bore to one side the hose shoots off and fluid goes everywhere, is there a way to prevent this from happenin or will i have to get stock lines w the special fittings , I have yet to flare out the steel lines since ive been in a hurry do you think if i flare them out it will be less likely to shoot off the line?

get the pressure in hose crimped at a hydrolic shop.you dont need to on the return side. when you hit full stroke you are probably squirting oil at 2500 psi, so dont get your hand near it.
