3/4 Ton VS 1/2 Ton Seat Questions

Is there a diffrence between the 3/4 Ton and 1/2 Ton seats in the cabs of our trucks? I was told that there was, and that if I was going to have a seat reconditioned, I should start with a 3/4 Ton seat. Maybe thats just because he saw I had a 3/4 and was telling me to "keep it correct" I needed a 3/4 ton seat. But It sounded like he was saying the 3/4 ton seat was a better seat to start with?

Any thoughts!

Darren

there are 2 kinds of bench seats, regular & the full-foam variety (not sure how they differ), but they are not model dependent. the full-foam seat is a separate RPO (Z52), and is standard in some trim packages.

Darren, there is no difference in 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton seats. The 71-72 full foam seats are the best to use when doing one.
