Chev V8 numbers on front are C6F203523 T0623TLS. Can anyone tell me what it is (350 400 327) and what year it is?

Definitely a 400ci. the three below are from looking up the engine suffix code (TLS) at this site:
http://www.nastyz28.com/sbchevy/spcode8.html

1975 TLS 400 conv.cab U LF4 175hp 4bbl K-10 to 2500
1977 TLS 400 conv.cab R LF4 175hp 4bbl K-10 to 2500
1979 TLS 400 con. cab, a/t, Cal R LF4 170hp 4bbl K-10 to 2500

I don't know if the other number is a VIN. Check for other numbers at the back of the block. I'm sure someone else here can narrow it down further.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

Wow i cant find those casting numbers in my books, the part C6 almost sounds fordish, but the later numbers your trying to find are the suffix code TLS,cant find in my books but i have nothing printed newer than 72 so it must be after that more than likely a 350 or 400 and not a 327,283,etc.

C6F203523 is the last of the VIN number of the truck it originaly was in, but whats rellt odd is that that is not a normal VIN number endien of a 75-79 truck, a normal vin for say a 78 is CCL448J118407

the part that owuld be on the original engine stamped would be 8J118407
the year is always the first stamped digit to be found on engine and frame

C is not right, something is wrong
6 would be the year, IE 1976
6 would be the first digit found
