i posted a question about my 920 a week ago about what the 920 ment and a few posts thought that this reference ended in 69 i ran the vin #and it says it is a 72 and it only has a 5 bolt hub not a 8 bolt hug for 3/4 ton i attached a picture to see if they would help

My best guess is that you have a 72 1/2 ton, that for some reason the front clip was changed out and the parts they had were from a 69 3/4 ton truck.

Check with longhorn man. Andy has a 1/2 GMC short wheelbase that has chevygrill and C30 on the fenders.

That is probably the most logical answer why you have a mismatch of parts.

I agree with that. Look at the back side of the fenders (like under the hood, or un the door jamb) and see if the original paint matches the cab.
Like Palf70Step said, my SWB GMC thinks it is a one ton chevy.

thanks guys truck is under 2 feet of snow right now will check in the spring hoping to have truck done by the end of summer
