McGaughy Spindles? Opinions?

Hi all,

I am looking to get some lowering spindles for my '85. The 73-87 guys don't have much experience with McGaughy's and I was told to ask over here.

Anyone used McGaughy spindles and/or springs?

If so, would you recommend them over Western Chassis?

Thanks.

I have a pair of McGaughy's 2.5" drop spindles on my 70'. I am very happy with them. I can't say anything about Western Chassis though. Over all I would recomend McGaughy's.

I have western chassis they fit good no complaints just If I was to do it again I would go with McGaughy's because I would rater support a small guy.

Thumbs up

I'm with 72MARIO, I like to support the smaller guy. When shopping, the lady on the phone sold me on them. My McGaughy 2.5" drop spindles look great. Everything bolted up fine, just need to get this thing on the road. The price was very reasonable.

I forgot to add that I got mine from Tim Christian. I have dealt with GMC Paul's also. Either one of these people will set you up with out pounding one to you (Unlike the local Classic shop here).

Anyone have a website or phone number for GMCPauls.

I found them for $199 at McGaughy's in a truck mag. Is that about right?

Got a pair on mine. Only complaint is they did not break the sharp edges after machining.

Re: McGaughy Spindles? Opinions?

Wow, this is an old thread.

I gave up on the dropped truck and put HD springs up front. Now my truck sits level with 31x10.5s.
