15x10 Turbine Wheels
Iam thinking about buying a set of Turbine wheels. I really like the way they look. I believe they are made by a company called Western, but that is all i know. Does anyone have any other info on these wheels and where i could get a set. pictures would be great also.
Thanks Tom |

Mine came from american racing and I like the look, but the rough cast area between the fins is real hard to clean. I'm going to try a pressure washer next to get that brake dust out of the pores.

Re: 15x10 Turbine Wheels
Lug nuts are available through tire stores,Pepboys stocks them, and Napa has 4-packs.
I have these wheels on a`90 Blazer and a`72 K/2500.Another 6-lug set laying around. They`re so retro! Wait, hold on.This is wierd.I`m just a lurker and not even logged-on yet.

Re: 15x10 Turbine Wheels
Old thread or not The turbines look good.I have a set and they clean up nice with Duragloss aluminum cleaner and a tooth brush. 30 minutes and they look like new.

Re: 15x10 Turbine Wheels
I loved them on that old GMC I had... if you like the old school look, and not the pro touring look, (which I like both) then turbines are the ticket, without being over done. While I love slots, craiger SS rims, and totally go nuts over torque thrusts... turbines are kinda like the under dog, good looking, and recognisable... even if many of the hicks refer to them as dukes of hazzard wheels. (God I hated that)

Re: 15x10 Turbine Wheels
i have 15 x 10 's on my '70 creation ( was originaly a 2 wheel drive ). it took alot for the former owner of them to sell them to me. the old dog ( have had it since 90 . so many changes ) used to have steel modulars , where now i have to careful waht i run into i am changeing it over to a 3/4 parts and adana 60 rear sometime this year where i may be selling them . they are sweet , ive only had them a couple year . these are some odd brand ,where ive had the more popular western wheel ' hurricanes ' . yes the proper lugs are a pain to find , as much as a pain it is to nolt them on the truck . i want to remove them , because if i ever damage them , im not finding another .

Re: 15x10 Turbine Wheels
Nice wheels. There were many variations of these. That`s why I just call them finned aluminum.Turbines is the first of this kind(like on Vettes).I had bolt-on wheelcovers on my`63 Rivvy with knock-offs.There were Tubo-Vecs and Hurricanes, and more.
On the`90 Blazer:
