Question backing plates

Does anyone know if the rear drum brake backing plates on a 67 6lug rear are the same as 72 5lug rear?

im pretty sure he is just talking abotu a standard 12 bolt being that he is talking about 5 and 6 lug. i think someone told me all the backing plates are same for 1/2 ton.
