How to?

How do I remove the ignition switch off of the dash, the heater control is out all the wires are removed and I can seem to figure it out, am I missing something or is there a special trick? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally have a weekend off, and a little free time to pick up where I left off(2 1/2 months ago, I forgot what my truck looked like.)

anyway, thanks for any help.

Most ignitions.....

turn the ignition to the right....insert a paper clip into the small hole, turn the key the opposite direction while pushing in on the paper clip.....

no need to turn to the right at all. just insert pin in hol, crank counter clockwise, adn it should pop out.
