Dual battery set up
I did a search on this subject and found some info but looking for more. I noticed some set ups have isolators and some have selinoids. Is one better than the other. Also in the earlier post someone had mentioned there is a good schematic in the factory assembly manual. Any way to post that? If you have dual batteries whats your set up?

I have a 63 C20 with 10' camper on the back. I run a isolator, that way I charge both batteries at the same time. A solenoid would allow you switch batteries, only one would be active at any time. Need more info as to your application in order to recommend one or the other.

I use an isolater and a solenoid. The isolater allows me to charge both batteries as well as run a wire to the trailer to charge that battery, too. The solenoid allows you to run your main battery dead; hit the solenoid switch and you have an automatic "jump". Also if you are jumping some one and hit the solenoid switch, you are effectively jumping them with two batteries.
