starter brace for a my bb 402

Hello all!
Was hoping if any of you had a spare starter brace for my bb 402? It mounts on the back of the starter and runs to the motor block. I have looked all over out here in the wrecking yards. I found it in a truck part magizine but wanted to try you all first. Thanks, Billy

It's GM part number 3965588. Any dealership will have them for about 3 to 4 dollars each, brand new.

Good luck.

Hands up thank you!!!!!!!

Tx Firefighter
You are the man!!!!!!!! Thanks for everything. They went strait to the part and found it. Only thing was I had to go to another dealer to get it. I also got the Nuts and Bolts to to mount it. There is another gentleman here on the board looking for a small block starter brace. I'm going to refer him to you. I hope you don't mind. Thanks again! If there is anything I can Help you with in the future please let me know. Billy

Dave, any dealer in the country should have one. They are very common.

When I get home tonight, I will look up the number for you. In the mean time, Tx firefighter is right about you should be able to get it from any Chevy/ GM dealer.
