Go for it!!! I love the Dukes of Hazzard! Once I finish my '87, I've got to find me a 4x4 to make into a redneck truck. I'll definetly put the dixie horn on it!!!

I used to love them things when I was a kid. Believe me, they were popular before the Dukes of Hazard had one. There were several guys who had them back then. One guy had a very nice 69 Z28 that had one. It used to be a very in thing to do back in the day. Now, someone would probably jump out of their car and shoot you.

I mounted the trumpets on the left fenderwell. I made a bracket so they all lined up horizontally. Even though they were behind the radiator sheet metal they still are loud enough. Make sure the horn end tips slightly downward to keep water out.

I want one as well.

Hell, I thought about putting one on my Subaru. I told my wife that I am painting the Subaru orange and putting the Stars and Bars on the roof when the paint gets bad.

I've been that route way back in the late 70's & early 80's in my 4x4 day's.

I just think you have a very nice truck and it would ruin it if you installed thoes cheezy horn's on it but that's just my opinion.

If you do decide to ruin your truck you should mount the horns right to the top of your cab so every one can see them as well as hear them.

And just so you know im a rebel thru and thru and you can't get any more southern than me i was born in so. fla.

Hey 1985K10, is your WW fluid container in the stock location? Also, do you think it is possible to just mount them all to the fender w/o making a bracket? and if youre feeling really amitious, it would be a huge help if u gave me the measurements for that bracket thanks a million

The bracket is 16" from the fender out, 15" from the bracket to the fender well, and 10" to the firewall.
I can get more measurments/pics if needed.

Make me want one now It would fit Tootsie Roll for sure. Looks like an old truck Uncle Jesse would drive but with more under the hood.
