WTB Accelerator *cable* pedal assy
First off I have a 68 with a gas pedal rod and linkage. I want to convert to the cable style. Will this work with some modifications? Was 72 the only year for these.
And oh yea I would like the whole assembly. Thanks Dave

Dave,
My '71 Blazer has a cable linkage as well. I was able to find a replacement cable (pedal to carb) from Sallee Chevy. On the carb end you'll still need to get a linkage bracket, but those are a dime a dozen. Not sure what you'll need to change on the pedal end. Perhaps someone else can help with that. Brian |

Ditto on the cable, picked one up from my local Chevy dealer for like $15.00.

the pedal is different also. I'm not sure if the the rod style pedal can be adapted. I took the pedal assembly out of a 72 and fabbed up a small bracket to bolt it to. The pedal rod style bolts to the firewall in the engine comp. the cable style bolts to the firewall inside the cab. And what would've been nice if they had the same bolt patterns, but they dont. My bracket bolts to the firewall inside the cab into the holes that are there for the rod style, and the the cable pedal is bolted to the bracket.
