My heart is sick

Had a guy stop at my place saturday and ask my wife if i wanted a 69 blazer that was all done except for a motor and trans. She said of couse I wanted it!I called 5 times sunday. He called me back today at 8am and said the scrap hauler might have taken it.Called me back at 5pm said it and 2 other blazers and 2 pickups all went to the scrap yard, not the junk yard. Can't understand why he would ask me and then scrap it any way.To top it off everytime I asked before he said no I am putting it on the road.

Said he was tired of tripping over it.He bought it for the motor and trans. It was in primer and had new floors and both doors redone. The sides had no rust. They needed some work to smooth them out.Top had some cracks, but no big problems.

The only reason he asked is he stopped by to give me an estimate on stone work for my new garage and drive. He said he was calling the scrap men to see who took it and were.If it is gone,no stone work!

Other people's children...I'm tellin you.
Scrap prices are high, but the truck is worth WAY more than the scrap.
I guess it isn't only junk yards scrapping with the newly inflated prices.

start pulling off this guy's fingernails with some Vise Grips until he tells you where he really hid it. i'm sorry, no one is that idiotic to just scrap any kind of antique vehicle just because he kept "tripping over it." if he bought it for the motor and trans, then he knows that there are people out there who are Blazer fans, and would therefore sell it and make some cash. keep on him until he tells you.

That sucks! you gotta get him back!, ask him to do the estimate for your stone work then tell and that you want him to start the work certain day then call him the night before and tell him that somebody else is doing the work for you, maybe that'll teach him.

I feel your pain man, Just went through something similar.

Guy tells me in Early december that he wants to sell me his suburban. I am like Sweet!

His suburban is tight. 67 GMC lowered smoothie 17's navigator leather interior blah blah blah, $6000

tells me he doesnt want to sell it, but he know that I love them and theat he knew it would have a good home.

So I tell him to give me some time to come up with the cash, and he agrees.

Saw him 2 fridays ago and tell him I have basically got the money (took out a loan and was waiting for the check.)

calls me this friday and leaves me a message saying "what do you want to do, I am showing it to 2 other guys." No number, no way to get a hold of him, and I only see him at softball games, that were cancelled for rain.

Anyways I am sure he sold it this weekend, and now I have dreams and crap about this (I easily get emotionally attached to this stuff)

bunch o crap
