Thumbs up Thanks Crossy!

I got me tach dash back from Crossy today. It took a while to get the box open. Dave and I have learned from too many bad experiences that shipping is the worst enemy of a tach dash. His packing was awesome.

I opened the box and was like
I was really getting chapped because I couldn't get the quality of gauge cluster I wanted. Crossy gave me the heads up on a really nice one that was on Ebay, but I got sniped and lost the deal.

He found out I already had a nice one (thanks Jeff) but it needed some TLC to be perfect. He offered to see what he could do with it, and I shipped it to him. I must have got 10 emails from him keeping me informed of the progress.

Not only did he replace the gas gauge that was painted over, he reconditioned everything, repainted the needles and did the bright light update as well. All of this wasn't free, but it was at a "very" fair price. Even with the shipping it was "much" cheaper than what I would have paid for one that wasn't this nice.

All I can say is Crossy you are "Da Man".

WoW...that does look nice!!!

I am glad I could play a small role in making Ken happy...cause we all know when Ken is unhappy, we are all unhappy.

Now get that bad boy installed and show us pics.

One more thing, that is a 77 cluster right? If you don't mind I would like to use it (the pic) for the tach article Dave wrote.

Your starting to sound like my wife

Jeff as far as I know this is the correct gauge cluster for a 2wd 77. The (non-tach) cluster in my truck now has longer windows at the bottom of the large gauges. It has a 4wd indicator in one of those windows. I think it might not be the "correct" cluster, but I'm not 100% sure...

That does look sharp! When are you bringing that truck back up this way? I really want to see it in person.

Jonboy, thanks! It is up that way right now. I took it to Stoked Out Specialties a couple weeks ago for some minor repair. It's supposed to be ready in time for Dust Off/Super Chevy weekend...

Will do Jonboy. It should be ready on, or before the weekend of April 24/25. I plan to come up Friday and spend some time detailing. We have a few cars and trucks going to the
Dust Off show on Saturday, and some of us plan to hit Super Chevy in Ennis on Sunday.

If you can't make it out to Stoked Out Firday night, plan on hooking up with us in Seagoville on Saturday...
