Baking Soda Blasting

I was talking to a fellow that I work with that does body work on the side, and was mentioning getting my Blazer tub media blasted eventually. He said he's got a buddy that has a portable blasting setup and he uses baking soda as a media agent. You guys ever hear of this before?

I got a quote on getting my '53 ford pickup baking soda blasted, it was cheaper than having someone sand the 3 layers of paint off or spending the time doing it myself, about $600. The advantage to baking soda over sand is it doesnt hurt rubber, glass or chrome. Nothing needs to be removed or taped it will only take the paint off. The baking soda also doesnt cause warping due to heat or pit the metal. It also wont corode as fast as a sandblasted body so you dont have to prime it right away. Here is the site for the place i was going to get mine done at, has some info on it. http://www.agt.net/public/gksmith/accustrip.html
