metal floor to wood costs ?
I am thinking about coverting my 67 SWB floor from steel to wood. I am almost done restoring the truck except for the bed. The floor is decent but still needs work. Has anyone made their own wood pieces rather than buying them ? Is there a pattern available ? I know I can buy all the strips and hardware for a resonable price, but the wood is very high. I have access to equipment for making my own wood pieces. Thanks for the help

I'm not that far from you. I had white oak cut and shaped for my stepside and the guy charged about 90 bucks. thats for the wood, cutting to length and adding the grooves. GMCPaul has the sizes on his website.

Will I need to put in some cross braces for the wood ? Anything else I will need ? I have seen the metal strips somewhere that did not have bolts going through them ,they had studs welded to the bottonm of the strip so that the top was smooth.Anybody know where to get these ? Thanks
