sorry everyone...
Well, Alexis, all, I can't upload anything larger than 1MB. All my videos (and anything long enough to be any good anyway) are 2MB and larger. Unless I can figure out how to send larger attachments, I can't help you help me, or visa versa! Thanks.

SS emblems...
Thank's Frenchblue72, they're for a '70 Chevelle SS, if my memory serves me. I have a bunch, a '68 Camaro fender SS emblem on my diff cover, '70 Chevelle fender SS on my fenders, and a '69 Camaro grille SS on my grille. You see, it can get kind of confusing. I think the spirit of the 60's - early 70's super sport cars (and trucks ) is now in my truck: 500cid Big Block motor, performance gears 4.88 instead of gas frendly "commuter" gears, large dual exhaust, strong tranny TH-400, lowered/sport suspension, wide tires, and sport badging all attest to fitting that bill. What'cha all think?

What kind of mufflers you got under that, and how bad is the noise as far as freeway cruising and b!tchey neighbors?

Mufflers...
Andy, I have dual Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flows. My exhaust layout is as follows: Stock manifolds feeding 2.5" head pipes that go under/outboard of the frame to go into mufflers in the "pocket" under the cab between the side of the body and the outsides of the frame. 3" tube exits the mufflers and turns 45deg. outward and very slightly down and capped with 3"-3" Hooker header "reducing" flanges that I had chrome plated. I'll have to take some pics of the exhaust setup and post 'em. Like an idiot, in my excitement to get the exhaust done I forgot to take the camera with me.
The noise isn't too bad, a bit loud inside but for my tastes not too bad. With the 4.88 gears, she probably won't be seeing the highway anytime soon, not with those gears. Thanks again blue_69 for hosting the videos! |

'70 C/10 SS500, your truck looks good! Have you ever run it at the track?

drag, no yet...
383 Stroker, no, I haven't had it to the track yet. The truck is still in a tuning phase trying to get timing, mixture and carb details dialed in. The truck/motor at it's current state wouldn't probably hold up at the 1/4 mile because of the really low 4.88 gears. I have to get more reasonable gears and a bit more work to the motor performance wise before she's ready. This motor is a 115K mile motor pulled from a running '76 Caddy Coupe Deville. It is for all practical purposes BONE STOCK! It has alot of potential waiting to be unleashed!
