gas tank swaps
What all vehicles have you all gotten tanks out of that go under the rear of the bed?? I know the 67-72 blazer tanks will work but what other vehicles could I look under to find one that will work alright??

I haven't done the swap but I've been told the 75-80 Chevy Monza tanks are a nice fit.

You just have to remember that the 67-72 trucks use a 0-90 olm sending unit if you want to use your existing gauge in your dash. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

From what I have heard, you can get some sort of resister to reduce the olms if the sending unit puts out too may. However I do not know about going the other way. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Does anyone know if a sending unit out of a 92 will work?
I am going to do this too but got to save up some more cash first.

I won't vouch for it, but I've been told that all GM senders are 90 OHM????? Anyone know for sure?

GM cars (most) are 0-30 ohms [empty - full]-prior to1965

87 and up Blazer tanks are fuel injection and have a pick up tray made in the tank. A regular sender wont work with them. The newer senders have the pump built onto them.
