2wd coil truck lifted, wow it's up there
Ok, I've been running 3/4T coils front and rear. the rears had a 3" spacer on the frame side. The fronts were just stock 3/4T. I did a whole front end replacement about 6mo ago. I bought some front coil spacers and some taller 1/2t rear springs off the board here sometime back and they were just sitting in the shop. I did the rears and got 3 inches from stock with a much better ride. Then I did the fronts, there a bear, stock 1/2T springs with a 1 1/4 lift plate made for these lower arms. I had to pull the upper bump stops off, those need to be cut to around 3/4". I set it back down and ended up with 3 1/2 inches on the front. Don't ask me to do the math, I can't figure it out. The ball joint look good, there flat and the whole thing seems ok. Great ride out of it and it sits just about level. Pleanty of room for 33's but I think I"ll go with 32's. I'll get some pics later for all to see.

Sorry, my digital cam took a dump on me. The truck is the a bit taller than a stock 4x4 according to the resto pak. The top of the bedsides are 49" above the rear tire, and the front inner fenderwell is at 34". I'm on 265/70's. The truck sits leval. I see posts all the time on lifting a 2wd and how far you can go, well here's some info. Go get a tape measure and figure it out. Hell, lift the front and rear with a jack to my measurments, stand back and thats what you get.

questions-
Ok. What year is the truck-drum front end or disk, if disk- is it for that year or has it been retro-fitted into an earlier chassis?
Where did you get the spacer? warrens69gmc |

It's a 71 disc/drum. I got the spacers from one of the guys here on the board, they were made buy Burbank Suspention. There alluminum. Looking at the ball joints it looks like the upper is flat to the spindle, the lower look like I have about 3 degrees before I hit the inboard angle limit. It also looks like I may have to turn the sway bar upside down to get a better fit to the lower a-arm. I'm still working on getting a cam to get some pics, hey I'm not made out of money.
