sand blasting question
has anyone got a load of building sand dried it and blasted with it? or where do you get this black beauty media?

I have seen it for sale on ebay. I normally buy sand at OSH, which indicates it can be used for sandblasting. It works well.

I have tried to use a bag of sandbox sand from Home depot. Its not really worth the hassle. Doesnt hold up well, and you have to pre sift it to be able to use it.

i get my sand from ace hardware and the tractor supply has the different media's

i get my sand from the local auto-body/paint supplier costs about$6 for a 50lb bag. check the yellow pages under sandblasting supplies
