crazy keys...!
While working on my truck, I had my fiancé start the truck while I was poking around and she accidentally used the key to my '99 Trans Am! It has the micro-chip in it! Started right up. The door key worked just as well.

I used to drive my 1969 Mk III Triumph Spitfire with the key from my Honda C70 bike! We also stole my friends 19790's Ford Escort Mk 1 and hid it with someones house key.

My uncle used his key to unlock a truck that the driver had locked himself out of. Evidently there are only so many different keys that can be made and there is quite a bit of duplication.

There are only so many combinations possible for each type of key, that duplication is inevitable.
A locksmith friend of mine has always said that keys keep the honest people honest.

Two key stories:
When I worked at a shop every once in a while a key would get locked in a car. We had an oil filter box full of keys. Before the slim jim came out you tried every key in the box first. I only had to go back in for the slim jim once. #2: My sister ordered a new F150 in 1986. My dad worked at the Ford plant. While it was going down the line my dad looked it up and figured out what key it was going to have. He "procured" an extra key for the truck. When my sister finally took delivery on the truck she drove it over to show my parents. She came up to the front door while my dad snuck out the back door. When she got in the house she looked across the street only to see her BRAND NEW truck drive away. I thought she was going to die.

We stole a 2001 Ford van and a trailer full of gear from a band we were on tour with using the key from our 2001 Ford van. Talk about giving someone a heart attack! Just a little jiggling is all it took.

I had to change both of my locks on the truck, as some arsehole desided to use a screwdriver to try and enter!
