Scoti, I went to www.gmvortec.com and they had some specs on the marine engines. There was a brochure in pdf. format, but I couldn't get it to work. hope that helps. They rated it at 295 hp, but it is hard to tell what any of the specs are.

Can you look up the engines available for sale at www.gmpartsdirect.com?
Scoti, I personally would just ask for what you payed for. It sounds to me like it could be a potential headache, but I don't know for sure.
