This my 1st attempt at changing my rocker panels. Just need some do and don'ts advice.
Since I never done this before should I remove the door off the blazer??

It looks like its pretty easy to do, but what do I know???

I know this rookie question and I don't want to caught with my pants down..

Any info and pics would great to read and see..

Thank you

I would unbolt the door hinges where they attach to the doors. Make sure you check out how well the door lines up with the vertical seams so that you know where then need to go back to. If your inner rockers/torque boxes are shot----then make sure you have your hard top on before cutting out the old rockers as the body will slump. If good inner rockers---boxes, you should be ok. One thing to remember is that you don't have to replace the whole rocker unless it is totally shot. Often times we tend to replace an entire panel just because the replacement is large. I made the mistake of replacing entire outer rockers when I only really needed to cut out the outer shell and leave the top-front and back in place. Take your time and be sure to paint the innerds with POR15 or equivilent to prevent more rest after the fact!

Yeah there are shoot.
Looks they been repaired a few times (fiberglass wrapped around redwood).

Do I drill out the spot welds?
The inner boxes look good, but could be a different once they are off.

Thanks for the input!!
