73-87.com [off topic]

just an FYI, i noticed more recently that almost all links to 73-87.com articles I find on the web are broken links.

here is an example http://hotrodders.com/kb/make-model/.../articles.html

ton's of links but none work. (the 73-87.com one that is)

I am sure when this site was handed over there were some changes to the files, and naming structure that made this happen.

i guess that everything that was 'http://www.73-87.com/garage' is now 'http://www.73-87.com/7387garage'.

anyway - I am not sure if this is a concern or not... I have a knack for pointing out the obvious.

That must be a result of me re-doing the site. I am sure those sites posted a link whan Mike was the owner, but since I have redone the site...they are no longer valid.

Guess they should check their links more often.

Jeff:

You'll get more hits, and make visitors a lot happier, if you put up a redirect page at the old address when you move something. After all, the point of putting a page up is to have people read it...

That is something I didn't think about when I was re-doing things. Guess I know better next time.

I did e-mail the above mentioned site informing them the links were broken and explained why.

I am still a noob when it comes to this stuff..but I'll learn.
